Estee Chan is a Tokyo based artist from England.
Estee is a Tokyo based artist from England who works primarily with pencils.
We recently found the perfect paper for her reproductions, the Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin.
It is a matte paper with a very subtle gloss only in the printed areas. It gives a great 3D effect and matches coloured pencils wonderfully.
Her work was recently published in ANIMAL 2023 by Tankobon. We have a copy in our art library!
She also sells some non print related goods on her website, such as this beautiful little rabbit keyring which I enjoy every day that I take my bike out.
She’s exhibiting in Nihonbashi starting this saturday!

Photographer Irwin Wong
Irwin Wong is a commercial and editorial photographer specialising in portraits, often featuring beautifully, carefully lit subjects. He recently put together a new print portfolio to be shown to overseas clients, and we helped out with the prints. Fine Art Pearl stock was perfect for his detailed and colourful images, which were then stacked into a custom made artisinal wooden box to further enhance presentation.
Irwin has widely researched and photographed Japanese artisans and craftsmen, as you can see in some of his images below. In fact, he has a book on this very subject coming out later this year! Illustrator Luis Mendo
Luis Mendo is an illustrator living in Tokyo, who also runs the artist residency program over at Almost Perfect. With the recent quarantine, he produced a series of New Yorker inspired magazine covers titled “The Home Stayer”.
We helped Luis produce his limited edition run of prints on German Etching. They’re already selling quite fast over on his shop page, so if you’d like one for yourself at a very reasonable price you better get in quick!
Photographer Alex Abian
We recently did a small print run of photographs taken by Alex Abian. He has been a Tokyo local for many years, and runs the fantastic website State of Tokyo. Check it out for some great candid interviews and photography of interesting people he’s met in this vast city.
His prints showcased the very rare event of simultaneous snow and sakura!

Photographer and Cinematographer Sean Maguire
Sean is a young artist who recently moved from Australia to Tokyo, and can be found all across the country on various film and photo sets. I’ve seen his skills first hand on sets handling lighting, focus pulling, and handling a heavy cinema camera rig on a gimbal. He has recently started selling his prints online and I was very happy to help him out with the prints. Have a look at some of his great photographs below.
Kimono Stylist and Educator Stasia Matsumoto
Stasia is an accredited expert of kimono creation and styling. She runs a business on the East side of Tokyo where she can provide clients with a full kimono experience; she explains the history, carefully dresses them in something picked out specifically for the person, and then provides them with a photoshoot in Asakusa’s ancient backstreets at the end of it all.
She’s also a very capable street photographer. We printed a variety of her photos on Fine Art Pearl and they look great.
